I have been working with kids and in the theatre my entire life. In 1997 I left Maine for Texas. For 13 years I taught at Ursuline Academy of Dallas, the Dallas Theater Center, Lon Morris College, and Providence Preparatory School.
Since being introduced to Greek theatre in college, I've been intrigued by its primal, raw emotions. In this translation the chorus and Elektra speak in Greek.
Students studied and created the characters in the Suerat painting, performed a scene leading up to the painting pose & costumed it.
We borrowed a shelter dog for this production and worked with the Humane Society of San Antonio
I currently teach at The Public Theatres' Summer Teen Workshop and Oral History Theatre at University of Maine, Augusta's, Senior College. I am currently the Drama Coach at Cony High School in Augusta, Maine.
Since returning to Maine from Texas in 2010, I was the lead teacher in the Augusta 21st Century After School Program
